The charming commune of the Médoc, Grayan-et-l’Hôpital, is full of places and monuments to discover.

We particularly recommend that you visit the Chapelle Saint Jean Baptiste de l’Hôpital, whose foundations date from the 12th century. This chapel is a place of passage on the Coastal Way of Saint Jacques de Compostela.

The town of Grayan-et-l’Hôpital has a 7 km coastline. You can indulge in idleness on the city's beaches such as Gurp.

Outdoor activities

By staying at our campsite or in our cottages in the Médoc, you will be ideally located to explore the entire region.

Many activities to do outdoors, with family, friends or as a couple, await you. We advise you to do one of the many hikes such as the Grande Randonnée 21. Very close to our establishment, you will also find a multisports ground. The Vélodyssée path also passes near our establishment. Near Camping du Gurp and the village of birds, you will find bike rental companies.

Let yourself be tempted by sporty and dynamic stays and a return to nature in the Médoc.

The steps

In July and August, every Friday evening, enjoy a night market where you will discover local products. In the surroundings of Grayan-et-l’Hôpital, many markets will offer you seasonal and regional products. Awaken your taste buds to the flavors of the Médoc.

The Barreyre ponds

These ponds are made up of three bodies of water where you can fish. Here you will find sturgeons, carp, black bass and white fish. All catches must be returned to the water. With family, friends or on your own, for relaxation or for competition, allow yourself a moment of relaxation on these ponds.

Sports activities CAP33

In the heart of the Médoc, come and discover the joys of living on the Atlantic Coast. The program of entertainment and activities is created by the CAP 33 Association. You will have access to these activities free of charge, on simple reservation. We will offer you a range of sports activities: petanque competitions, football games, outings in the city, surf sessions and golf games. These activities and events are organized only in summer, in July and August. You won't have time to get bored during your holidays in the heart of the Médoc.
